Hi Everybody,
Might seem an inane question. But - what would ye all recommend using to clean a plastic window on a soft-top ?
Just installed a new one - and THAT was a painful enough experience - it would gut me to destroy the (clear !) plastic using the wrong cleaning technique.
Many Thanks,
Pete
I use normal car polish if it is cloudy, gently thou
Porsche make a good window cleaner cream for the Boxster (986) and it works very well indeed, it turns a cloudy plastic window into a perfectly clear window again. I completely recommend it.

Novus produce some really good plastic polishing kits, last time I used the stuff was to polish out any scratches on the cockpit canopy of a Tornado jet!

Also when cleaning, either with products or just with soap rub in either a side to side or up and down motion, NEVER IN CIRCLES, this will scratch it VERY QUICKLY. Always worth giving it a quick blow with a strong set of lungs, or an air line if you have access to one, just to remove any surface particles that may have collected. Happy cleaning
Megs plast-x is supposed to be good on headlamps, might work well on plastic window too.
Thanks to alllllllll for their advice …
Hope the summer is sunny, the roads are dry with not a pedestrian in site, where ye are !
