Just thought I’d let everyone know that Cleverley Repaired Cars worked on my Mk1 rear brakes on saturday morning (recon calipers, new disks and new pads). The level of service I received was brilliant. Michael Cleverly’s knowledge on all things MX5 is very extensive. I stayed and watch him work on my car, made the tea, and then returned home only just 2 hours after arriving. He also had three other MX5s there waiting to be worked on. Later this year he may also have an MX5 loan car which will be very useful if you need to leave your car with him.
Another plus is the country roads between Stradbook and Laxfield to his premises are a fun drive too! He offers a club member discount. I found his details in the Eastern Region News Letter.
Thanks for posting that, it’s good to know that the garages in the Directory do always honour the discout they advertise. Also good to hear they still offer great service too.
I picked up my MX-5 from the dealer on Sunday morning but having not bought an old car let alone a “classic” for more than 25 years I thought I should get an expert opinion on it’s condition and a heads-up on any current and potential issues. Searching around I came across a reference on here to “Cleverley Repaired Motors” and, based on the positive comments I
read, I contacted Michael to see if he’d give the car a once over. He was
extremely willing and, having just got back from seeing him, I felt that I really must post in support of Nick C. Micheal is a really nice chap and so enthusiastic, helpful and knowledgeable about the MX-5. It was a great relief to find that I had bought (says, Michael) very well that all is very well and I have got something of a bargain. He was able to point me at an associate of his who can cut and programme a replacement key for me and he reckons he can help me out with a tonneau cover too. When the time comes for a service or repairs I’ll certainly be taking my car to him to work on and I’d recommend him to anyone in the Norfolk/Suffolk border area or beyond.
I have also had great service from CRC - sad to have to say that I was told yesterday by his wife that Michael is seriously ill in hospital with pneumonia.
I’m sure all the MX5 comunity will join me in wishing him a full and speedy recovery; he is such a great guy.
