Club Run Sunday June 26th

Sunday Run, A Summers Trail Sunday June 26th 2016

Lindy and Neill invite you for a drive along some familiar twisties and maybe some new ones too.
A Summers Trail is an extended version of last years A Winters Trail. As this run coincides with longer daylight hours, we now include an extra stop for an Ice Cream mid afternoon.
Starting from Wetherby Services we set off on some familiar twisties to our first comfort stop at Fewston Reservoir; a second stop for “tea and tiny’s” at the World famous “Wensleydale Cheese Factory” (aka Wallce and Gromit cheese factory!) with the chance to stock up on cheese; an extra afternoon stop for ice cream followed by a late lunch at the brand new “Kingfisher Fish and Chip Restaurant”, before making our way home.

Details for this event are as follows:
1. Meeting at 10:00 for a 10:30 set off.

2. Start Location: Wetherby Services A1(M)

3. Format of the day: Meet and greet followed by a run out along some familiar twisties for our first comfort stop at Fewston Resorvoir. Then out over the dales via Stump Cross Caverns and Grassington, to follow the Wharfe valley to its source; then climbing out of Wharfedale into Wensleydale to visit Hawes and the Creamery. Our second half brings a blast down to Ribblehead before skirting Settle for some scenic lanes. An extra loop has been added for the summer season to bring us over the moors and through the Trough of Bowland to our Ice Cream stop and regroup. From Slaidburn we continue through more familiar twisies to our finish at the Kingfisher Fish and Chip Restaurant near Skipton.
