Just back in the hotel after a brilliant but exhausting day at the museum and would like to thank all that gave up their time to put this event on. Absolutely fantastic.
Great day at the Rally today. Our thanks to the organisers. We really enjoyed the museum particularly the Concorde experience.
Staying in the area this week and looking forward to exploring the Borders in our MX5.
Found a great route back from the rally to our holiday lodge and stopped off for a late picnic in the sunshine……
Had a fantastic day. Many thanks to all involved
My 6 year old also thought the museum was excellent
I like the atmospheric mist at the border captured in this photo, a few miles earlier (and after) it sunshine
Concorde experience at the Museum of Flight was great. Interesting history of Concorde and this particular one that was transported via sea and road to it’s purpose built hanger at the museum.
That’s an amazing picture surely one for the calendar next year!
Certainly a winner👍
Lovely pictures of Concorde there, but as it was a club rally, am I the only one who was expecting to see some photos of the actual rally? Members cars etc…
Presumably, some of the people in the photos are MX-5 owners.
We were there and can say with some confidence that the museums exibits ‘overshadowed’ our cars and displays by some margin.
As a consolation here is a picture from the show—
— it is the only 30AE at the show that I had not previously seen!!
I’m sure they are,but as handsome as they all look, I was expecting to see the cars. After all it was a car rally, right?
Thats what i was hoping for. Thanks for sharing. Your car looks stunning
Continuing the discussion from Club Spring Rally - Sunday 7th May 2023:
Had a cracking time at show and in Scotland and the museum was the icing on the cake
*
As a new member it was my first time at a club rally and we (me and Moomin the dog) really enjoyed it. It was great to speak to so many enthusiastic MX5 owners and learn more about my car. It was a super venue and it was good to see so many drivers coming up to Scotland and taking the chance to enjoy the local roads. I met with George from Northumberland who regularly posts photos here and has the same series of car. So big thanks to the organisers and everyone who took part in the show…looking forward to the next one!
I never went to the spring rally in the end.
Had lined up all manor of options hotels/B&B’s even stopping over for a few days. A nagging doubt that Mrs A could be called in for some minor surgery did actually happen. She had the op the day before the rally, yes on the Saturday afternoon, coronation day. To say she’s just getting over the op now just over a week later.
We’ll be at the Gaydon rally later this year.
