I’m probably looking in the wrong place but I’m sure there was a tool pool for members to borrow infrequently used and specialist tool from but I can’t find the page.
If it does still exist can someone point me in the right direction please. Also does anyone know if there is a timing light for a mk1 / mk2 on the list and if not can I suggest one is added. Yes I know I could buy one for about £40 or £50 but as I only want to check the timing and then never touch it again seems a bit much. I’ve tried Ebay for used ones but no luck.

It might help to add your location to this post (I know you have something in your profile, but it’s not immediately obvious without looking for it). You may find that someone local will come forward and offer to lend you what you are looking for.
Contact @iainf for the club tool loan scheme. Unfortunately there is no timing light available. It’s really only Mazda produced SSTs that are available.

Many thanks to Mick as I now have a timing gun.
Yet again it proves what a great club this is.
In the future if any club members in the Slough, Maidenhead, Reading area would like to borrow a timing gun send me a PM.
