How bad is it for the clutch to kick it on a rainy track? I found that it doesn’t need much at all to get the rear wheels spinning in 2nd, but a littleg clutch kick is still needed to initiate and/or keep the drift. Would that considerably reduce the lifetime to a fraction or it is not that bad. I could imagine that on the dry with bigger&grippier tires it would be a real killer, but i (would like to) think it’s okay on a wet track with 14" no name casters.
Hi, You’ll wear out all the transmission faster and possibly break mounts links and bushes. Impossible to say how long it will hold up as it will depend on how worn it is already and how much hammer you give it. On a wet skid pan you may not do much harm but on a dry track it could be anything from broken engine mounts to ripping the centre from the clutch plate. If that matters will depend on what you bought the car for and how much you like fixing it Captain Muppet will know more and if you need to beef up anything in particular!
