Clutch pedal height

Can anyone help, my wife has a problem with our MXs cluch pedal height, the biting point is about 4 -5 inches up can someone tell me how to lower the bite point, it will make my life so much easier

 adjust it

I think there’s a guide in the FAQ…basically

  1. Shrink to about 5 foot high

  2. Take up yoga

  3. Stand on your head in the footwell, with a torch and a 12mm spanner

  4. Loosen the locknut on the clutch pedal pushrod

  5. Twist the pushrod to adjust the bite point (basically get the free play to about 5mm)

  6. Tighten the locknut

  7. Extract yourself and call a chiropracter

To actually adjust the height (where the pedal sits when not pressed) you adjust on the clutch pedal switch instead.

Thanks Jon I will try this at the weekend, its the biting point I want to take down.

Thanks again

Yes then it is the little brassy pushrod that points towards the bulkhead you need to adjust.

The adjustment is correct when the pedal has about 5mm free play - if the bite point is still too high, that may be down to a worn clutch plate.

I Do no mines a tad squeakey is this common or is it just in  need of  some tlc

A squirt of WD40 never hurts. Not on the pedal rubber, obviously, on the pedal mechanism.

The squeek is down to the slave cylinder pushrod getting dry. Have a look in the FAQ for replace slave cylinder[or something like thatWink]
