Cobra Sport Exhaust

I am going to buy a Cobra Sport SS rear section for my Mk3 but found them considerably discounted on ebay from a company called andessex.

I found them by searching for Cobra Sport Discount vouchers, which sent me to the Cobra site but appeared not to offer any discounts.

Has anyone had any experience of either andessex or obtaining discounts directly from Cobra?

Thanks for your help.

I have bought 2 Cobra exhausts from eBay and fulfilled by them at a better price.

Great exhausts though I found the quality of the clamps used to connect the end pipes to the centre box to be disappointing, rusted very quickly. The quality of the bright parts is very good.

ive seen a cherry bomb which looks tempting

What?

No offense but from what I can tell the Cobra back box is a fart can…Each to their own but theyre not for me. Also I’ve heard that they split at the weld sites.

I’ve just opted for an IL Motorsport back box…this is after many an hour going through youtube videos etc. The Goodwin racing cans look good too but cost a fortune as theyre imported from the US. Literally what cost them the equivalent of £250 costs us over £600 shipped! Madness!

Thanks but I’ve just had mine delivered. An earlier reply would have been appreciated.

Hi Evereideddie,

Going by IL Motorsport’s web address, I assume this is the same system as sold by MX5Parts.

The reviews of these don’t look too good to me, and perhaps the sound is more like the Cobra Sport “sport” version rather than their “road” version?

Have you fitted the IL system yet? What do you think?

Cobra Sport back box on my NC3 sounds amazing burbles on start up sounds good with normal driving and just pure music if you put your foot down with a nice rumble on overrun and the odd pop.

plus 1 for cobra
