Has any one tried successfully to change their coil pack on a Mk1, and if so did you find it frustrating?
Hi I’ve done coil pack changes on both my mk1s and have been lucky both times that the bolt under the coil pack was missing so it was simply disconnect the wiring and undo the two bolts on top of the cam cover.
But it would gave been a different story if the bottom bolt has been in place.
Buy a set of ratchet spanners. Makes it easy and such a useful set of tools to have.
