Coil pack genuine Vs aftermarket mx5 parts

  1. My model of MX-5 is: 2010 nc
  2. I’m based near: Nottingham
  3. I’m looking for technical help or recommendations on: coil pack

Hi,
I have a 2010 MK3 MX-5.
It has been miss-firing under idle. I think it’s the coil pack. When it started happening I put some e5 fuel in and injector cleaner. I have then cleaned the spark plugs and compression tested it. The only thing that made a difference was cleaning the coil pack.

Do I’m looking at replacing them. MX-5 parts have 2 options. Genuine or aftermarket and these are 2 very different price points one being about £20 and one £90. I want to know if anyone else has experience of using the cheaper one as there is a big price difference. If I get the £20 option I can replace all 4. But I don’t know what the quality is like.

Any help is appreciated.

Thanks

Not used these , but I’m going too at some point
5yrs warranty sways it for me.

Be aware that on some early NCs, the coil pack wires would break internally near the connector and need to be replaced, which is fairly easy DIY.
