As it happens, so far, it’s Ok.
No particular inclination to light up.

I suffered badly in my childhood with asthma, getting into my teens and it wasn’t so bad. Then again in my 20’s it seemed to get worse so I got appointments to manage it at our local asthma clinic.
The head honcho I had to see was a leading authority on asthma and it’s causes. Smoking, eating and drinking certain things and of course dust and pollen are triggers. I was tested for everything, sometimes I came out feeling worse than I went in.
The one thing that stuck in my memory of all this was the specialist doctor who sat opposite me on the other side of the desk, he was a chain smoker, chuffing away the whole time, I remember the 2 inches of ■■■ ash clinging on to his ciggy during the consultations and him hacking away every other sentence. He lived to ripe of age of 96, and Rob he was a Scot.

Didn’t miss it at all. I’m well acquainted with Rob’s sense of humour! Just making a personal (humorous?) comment on the displayed “Scottish Breakfast” and the benefits of oats in ones diet!

I gave up 9 years ago and i smoked about 60 a day my husband gave up last year

60 a day would cost about £4000 a year these days…

Richard that is £40 a day , £14.600
……

My bad that was 20 a day (cheap ones)

Hi S,
I’ve done similar.
My advice: As soon as you think about smoking, put it out of your mind, so no more counting etc, until 3 or 4 years.
Good luck

Many years ago I was seeing an allergy specialist who smoked like a chimney and had a sign promoting the ASH organisation on one side of his desk and an ashtray full of ciggy butts on the other. Kinda confusing, with mixed messages. :stuck_out_tongue_winking_eye:
