Correct alloy wheels for Mk1 1998

Hello NA history experts out there

My 1998 NA is the basic 1600 model on 14" steel wheels.

I want to get a set of 14" alloys so I can put winter tyres on the steels but I cannot find which ones were offered as a standard upgrade option by Mazda UK.

The candidates seem to be the daisy’s, the 5 spoke TSW’s fitted to early NB’s and the seven spoke Enkai’s.  Please can someone shed light on what I should be buying as correct for the year.

thank you.

The 5 spoke TSWs were the most commonly fitted 14" alloy in place of the steelies.

I have a March 1997 MK1 1.6 UK spec with five spoke alloys. They are similar but different to the TSW Stealth? variety fitted to the MK2.

The spoke profile is more convex on the MK2.

Should not be too hard to find a set of these. Here we go - my buddy is selling a set…

Take a look at other MK2 wheels he has listed - quite a difference in the profile.

These are my new 15" wheels and as far as I know they were also available as 14’s.

These are marked as RHO, made in Australia in 1997. Mine had the old style Mazda logo on the centre caps.

From the 10/1997 brochure

These are the same as fitted to the California.

The standard steels were fitted from Mazda, they were often replaced by the dealer with 14" TSW wheels. Some even fitted Mazda Plastic wheel trims
