Two of my alloy wheels (2004 1.8 sport) have corroded quite badly to the point where the tyres will not make a 100 % seal on the rim. Does anyone know of a reputable wheel refurbishment company located in the south east ? Im based in essex. Any info would be great.
I had a similar problem with alloy wheels on another car and I ended up in removing the tyres and cleaning all the corrosion off and resprayed all the interior surfaces. When the tyre fitter replaced the tyre for me he also used a sealant of some sort around the rim. Haven’t had any problems since then.
just get all 4 powdercoated
I think he was more concerned about loosing tyre pressure, unless I misread his post.
By the time you’ve paid to get the tyres on and off, and the paint and laquer, you won’t save much, and not have as good a job
A google search will soon bring up local specialists
Couple of companies that might be worth contacting,

Thanks for the help. I will contact these companies next week ?
JB Polishing on Canvey Island have been recommended by some of the North Thames members. £170 for a full refurb and powdercoat. http://www.essexalloywheelrefurbishment.co.uk/
Just an update to this, i eventually used Alloy Art in Southend on Sea, and i am very pleased with the results. All four wheels powder coated instead of the origional “sprayed” finish.
