If you fit a NB front subframe, yeah you can. NB subframes into NAs is a thing, and not just because you are getting rid of a rusty subframe. NB redesign introduced changes to allow increased caster and a lowered roll centre.
Yet another use for a rusted out £500 NB (providing the subframe isn’t rotten).
But the changes extend to the steering column as well, so you will need that out of the donor car as well.
Someone needs to come up with a plug and play solution for VVT into a NA8 so I have a clear option as I have a feeling my present engine isn’t much longer for this world. I know VVT conversions have been done, but it gets into mechanical witchcraft.
