Hi,

It may sound a silly question but has anyone any idea of the headroom required for engine/ gearbox removal using a 2ton crane.  The reason for asking is I have limited headroom in my garage and I would hate to get half way through removal and find I need to do the job outside.

With the wheels on 300mm stands to enable access underneath, and garage roof at 2M, no problem.

 

You do need to keep the engine slinging to a minimum however.
