Hi, I’m stuck halfway through replacing my cambelt as I can’t lock the crank to undo the pulley bolt. Putting it in gear doesn’t work, even had the wife on the brakes to help. Is there anyone in Oxfordshire that has one they can lend me?
If it’s a NA or NB, you can borrow a locking tool from the Club. Full details are in the magazine.
Brilliant! I’ll dig out my last magazine from under the bed then! Yes its a 1.6 mk1 with LNC. I’ve not read that anywhere yet though?
No worries now! I managed to get the pulley off and then make a tool to lock the crank pulley and got the bolt off this evening! result!
