creaking under braking lightly

Hi guys, my girlfriend has a mazda 2, I have a mx5 so it should be ok to post on here, and to cut a long story short it was involved in an accident and has been repaired, well kind of.

When you press the brake pedal lightly when the wheels are turning there is a creaking noise and sounds like something is rubbing?  She is going to phone the garage tmw but has lost confidence with them because it has been back and forth a couple of times already.  The first time she got it back all the wiper blades were broken and the wheels hadn’t been balanced and they never noticed and then she took it back because it was making another noise and it turns out they had to replace the drivshaft and osf wheel bearing.

Any ideas what could be the cause of the noise, it doesn’t happen when the pedal is pushed all the way down.

Thanks guys.

 hi there,

i am an insurance engineer for aviva,so any advice you need, give me a shout and i will walk you through every thing, and what your rights are.I need more info than you have given, can you let me know the incident circumstances, areas of damage, what work was carried out?the creaking could be anything, but sounds probably like tight suspension bushes, has it had a new strut fitted?

regards

Tim
