Cruise control in NC1 Option Pack - is it possible ?

Hi.

I’ve found the thread on US forum. The lad fiitted a cruise control. He bought a steering wheel for steering buttons, also a brake pedal sensor.

That’s all. The rest was just plug and play. He had all needed connection under the steering wheel (when removed).

But this was in US market. And I’m not sure about EU market.

Has anybody tried that in NC ?

Hi Lukas, I believe the option/wiring was only available in US cars. I installed an add on cruise  control to my car and I can say, without any hesitation, that its a great mod, never let me down, remembers its settings even after car battery replacement, highly recommended. The Cruise stalk is fitted below the indicator stalk.

Wow. How did you do that ? Any details please ?

The thing is, I’ve change my job and do 60 miles every day on dual carriageway and… would be nice to have it

Could be one of these;http://www.rostra.com/universal-aftermarket-cruise-control-by-rostra.php

Hi I did a write up on the procedure and parts used. It’s listed on page 11 of my mods on this forum,  the link to the document is here.

Brilliant job !

But… I’m not sure if I will be able to do that ? I mean - I do everything mechanical with my cars. Oil, suspension, brakes, some parts of engine but I’m not the best with the electricity… Is it quite simple ? That cable connections ?

The only thing I did was fitting an extra button for openning the roof with my Astra :)  (the original one is in awkward place).

£185 for them to fit it with an installation time of 3hrs so not over the top for the price and the connections will be done a bit better than scotch blocks which used to be the bane of my life as an auto electrician/mechanic.
