Hi
Cutting a long story short, I went over a rock in the middle of the road on the way to France last week and this is the first time I have had the chance to jack the front end up for a closer look.
I was already away of damage to the rear silencer, back box and central aluminium chassis brace but was shocked to see the front subframe caved in at the jacking point.
No evidence of cracks, just badly bent. The top part of the subframe at the jacking point is undamaged and straight. So it looks like the damage is limited to the underside jacking point only.
If that was mine I would not worry about it. Not pretty but there looks to be no splits and the strength does not appear to be have been compromised.
Obviously your choice.
Looks like you were lucky it didn’t shatter the sump.
I suppose it depends on how good your car is / how much you want it to be back to its original condition.
If you don’t want to go over the top then I would have the front suspension alignment checked / corrected and leave it as it is, you would have to check but I doubt it would fail it’s mot but it might be noted on the mot.
You could swap the sub frame, ( quite a big job ) or you may find a garage that can straighten it ( using hydraulics ) , not dead straight but better than it is, and certainly good enough for an mot.
