Hello[:)]
Jacked my car up at the a few weeks ago and took a look at it today and the rear jack points, the metal has compressed a little and am a bit worried as they are definitely the right jack point, there are two small notches either side so it’s definitely the right area where i lifted the car?
I would have thought the metal would be strong on this are of the car? i’m just a little worried about using my trolley jack to jack the car up at the rear again now?
Thanks,
Ben
G’day Ben, again[;)]
Check to make sure the dreaded rust worm hasn’t infected that part of your sills.
To lift using a trolley jack, use the diff casing, it’s the recommended place.
G’day to you too Geoff[:)]
Thanks for the reply. Thankfully It’s not the dreaded rust worm as i had both sills replaced when i bought the car last September, and as the metal has only given way slightly, it’s more like the anti-stone guard paint has sort of split a little rather than the metal if you see what i mean?
Will try using the diff casing to jack the car at the rear in future!
Thanks again,
Ben
