South East are organising  a trip to the Darling Buds of May Classic car show on Sunday 6th July and Sarah Jarret  has asked us if we would like to join themSmile.

The show is held at the farm where the Darling Buds of May TV show with David Jason and Pam ferris was filmed.

Sarah tells me it is quite a low key, “country bumpkin” show but is a nice day out and a chance to take a picnic and have a run through the beautiful Kent countryside.

We will meet up at the Thurrock lakeside services just off the M25 and leave there at 09:30. We will then drive to the Eureka Retail park near Ashford where we will meet up with the South East members at around 10:30.  There will be a short drive to the show from there. 

Cost is £15 per car with proceeds going to the Kent Air Ambulance.

Big thank you to everyone who came today from SE Area and North Thames area, especially as the start of the day was wet and miserable.

It was lovely to see you all the weather as promised at 1pm brightened up and sun came out to play, so picnic and enjoyment for the afternoon made for a lovely day, the main arena had lots to enjoy including a gun dog display, as well as the classic cars and Morris dancers, so made for an enjoyable country classic car show.

See you all soon and hope you got home okay.
