I ve just noticed my dash lights are not working-they were fine yesterday-ive checked all the fuses (both engine compartment and by the accelerator)and all are ok-ive checked all the other lights and they are fine (side lights, head lights, footwell etc), radio works-checked the dash lights themselves and all appears ok-is there a fuse im missing, or any suggestions???
Evening Mike
Are your heater panel lights working???or have they stopped also??
Regards
Yep-heater lights not working-i thinks an earth cables come adrift as there is a 12V feed to the dash lights and clock lights.
Take the steering panel cover off,and pop out all the swicth’s on your right, and look for a small blue plug connection, which should be sitting into the back of one of the blanker switch’s with a whitish back on it ,it sounds like it as come adrift to make the loop for your lights,or some one as kindly drilled through it and put an after market rear fog lamp switch,if they have let me know and i’ll tell you what to do.
kind regards
Sorry to resurrect an old thread here but I have exactly the same problem. Where the blanker switch should be someone has kindly replaced it with a 4 port USB connection. Great idea, but not at the expense of missing lights on my instrument cluster.

This might help
Thanks, I will take a good ook over the weekend.
Update: I had a look and have found that the car has be re-wired. An additional rear fog light has been added with a separate switch on the ignition column. An additional switch for the automatic radio ariel has been added as well. I have an original wiring diagram but it doesn’t look anything like what is in there now.
Has anyone got a copy of a simplified diagram that is colour coded? I am talking basic stuff here, like the green and white wire is for xxxxxx and it connects here? Otherwise it looks like a trip to a garage which I have been trying to avoid.
I’ve got a pdf of the wiring, with most of the colours included. If you want, I’ll email you a copy?
That would be great, thanks. I will pm you my email address.
A quick look in the faq index would have told you that there is a complete set of wiring diags here
As far as I am aware the only wiring diags available are the ones in the Haynes manual and the ones at the link
That’s the one I had a copy of - didn’t realise it was in the FAQs
