Dashboard Indicator light for dipped beam?

My memory is failing but I thought there was a light on the dashboard to show that you have the dipped headlights on. Having looked at the manual I can’t see that there is however that is what I’m used to on all other cars.

Could someone just confirm there should be a light or if I’ve finally cracked up please?

  1. My model of MX-5 is: 1.8 SE from 2012 NC2

None for dipped just main beam, it’s blue.:+1:

Yep, just blue for the main.

Thank you both that’s great news :+1:

in all my years of driving iv never noticed that there is a dash light to say high beams are on!!!

Position differs, you’ve never noticed it before?

i was probably told about it in my driving lessons but other than that.
i’v never noticed it.
tbh i dont need a light on the dash to tell me the high beams are on!
i dont want to be nasty but lets be brutally honest here, if your eyesight isnt good enough to tell the difference between high n low beams by looking out of the screen, then you probably shouldnt be driving at all!
ofcourse im sure that someone can come up with an exceptional circumstace that is an exception to the rule but by n large you should be able to tell by looking out the window

:rofl::joy::sweat_smile:
I love the irony of what you wrote…

yeah i didnt really think it through.

i broke the golden rule of posting and posted while angry.
i had rather stupidly just watched the news and was extreamly charged up and angry at the whole unkraine thing!

ok you rascal’s
25 years i drove without noticing that light!
but since this thread, everytime i put the highbeams on i can see that ,ing blue light at the bottom of my periferal vision!!! :rage:
