Good guide here
I used a multi meter set to Volts DC to confirm that this is a switched fuse as can be seen with the ignition switched on (19.14 volts). With the ignition off the reading is zero. If you do not have a multi meter then you do not really need to check this. Try adjusting your mirrors electrically with the ignition off!

The arrow shows the earth point for the multimeter and proves a good point for my hardwire kit earth connection. This is the same bolt that I pointed out at the beginning …
The cable can be stashed around the windscreen trim, then down into the passenger side fusebox, the use a piggyback fuse to power it.
That’s a better option as it turns off with the ignition.

I had the philips adr 820 dash cam in my recently sold 30th Ae rf. Worked a treat plugged into auxiliary in passenger footwell. I also had the rear camera option but that could be difficult in non rf.

Mine is a DDPAI mini, very similar to the one recommended. Small and discreet, just what you want. With a WiFi connection to your phone you can watch and download all the footage without needing a screen on the camera.
At the time it was on offer for £49
