Rather than go out into Derbyshire, which was rather bleak and lacking in lights last year, what about meeting at The Stockyard Truck Stop for Coffee and a Bacon Buttie, having our illuminated car competition, then driving directly to (the park and ride facility for) Lincolns Christmas Market?
It’s a while since the club attended this event
I have taken these details from their web site -
Lincoln Christmas Market
6th to 9th December 2012
A contemporary cathedral city with over 2,000 years of history, Lincoln is the perfect place to visit over the festive period. Take a trip back through time and stroll along the cobbles the cultural quarter of the city. The medieval square between the impressive Norman castle and magnificent gothic cathedral is the perfect backdrop for the Christmas Market.
Visitors are welcomed to this beautiful city and the traditional Christmas Market, where you will enjoy cultural entertainment and stroll around over 250 stalls nestled within the medieval square and surrounding area.
Lincoln Christmas Market has developed dramatically since it began with just 11 stalls. The Christmas Market gives visitors and residents a truly festive experience, with a traditional, high quality event for all the family.
For those of you who have not been before, it’s going to be busy, but it has a fantastic atmosphere, the park and ride car park and transfer is very efficient, the cost is £14.00 per car
We could finish off the day with an evening Pub Meal
