Delay in central locking opening with remote

  1. My model of MX-5 is: MK3.5
  2. I’m based near: Edinburgh
  3. I’m looking for technical help or recommendations on: __If not opened for a while can take about a minute or more of repeated pressing of key fob to get doors open. Both keys doing same. Once opened first time will then lock / unlock no problem immediately after. Boot release is the same.

Usually this is prompt to replace the key fob batteries.

Probably first check the connections to the battery too. I had similar symptoms with my fob, a tweak of the prongs touching the battery and all working again as it should.:+1:
