does anyone know the “depth” of front and rear brake pads on the NC - I’m trying to calculate the wear rate on mine.
thanks

On which model?
Argh - good point. I naively assumed it would be the same across all models.
original post now editted.
From memory, 10mm on the fronts and the same on the rear.
Thanks Robbie
That means im c50% worn after 34k miles
No those numbers are wrong guys.
The front pads are 14.4mm thick re friction material and the rears have a 13.8mm depth of friction material.
At approx 30,000 miles the front pads on my 2008 Sport were completly down and the rears had say 15% left and new pads and discs were fitted all round.
I serviced the car in January 2018 at around 48,500 miles. The front pads were 50% worn and replaced but the discs were still less than 25% way down to their limit.
The rear pads were still at 75% of depth and cleaned and reinstalled. The rear discs again were virtually unworn.
On the front ones at least I believe the inner pads wear out quicker than the outer
Both sets on the front of my Mk3 wore out broadly similar on each side of the disc and the other set were pretty similar.
On the MK2 the front outside wear well but the inner disc surface got pretty wavy and that needed changed well before the pads but new pads on new discs!
I wish mine would wsar out so I could get some new anti-rattle springs. My rear pads have been clanking on every pothole and speed bump since 9,000 miles.
