Desperate plea for help - Get my car back on the road - Oldham

Help needed. I’ve ran out of skill and time and need the help of someone local to Oldham who can help get my car back on the road so it can be moved to be worked on. My mental health has hit rock bottom and I’m struggling to find the time and energy to get under my car after a huge change in personal circumstances.

Need help with.
Rear subframe swap.
Refit refurbed rear components.
Fitting Meisters.
Build rear brakes.
Fit new disks and pads.
Help with correct wheel spacers gone from 18 inch wheels to 15’s.

Once it’s back together I can hopefully find somewhere who can finish it ready for an MOT.

Really appreciate any help. I’m not far from just giving the car away as I’ve only got a month left with a garage for storage.

Beautiful looking car. Hope you get the help you need

‘Rock Bottom’…Not Yet as you still have the NA you’ve clearly worked so hard on :+1:

First Important Priority…Locate New Garage to Store him/her in

Then breath and think about the Works in Progress

Thank you.

That’s true I still own the car but won’t if it’s not back together so it can at least be loaded onto a transporter.

The hunt for a garage continues the nearest I’ve found is Manchester @ £300 per month, forgot how valuable a garage really is if you have one.

I’ve got all the work needed worked out and have everything needed other than the skill and time.

According to the site your problem has been solved so I’ll say no more…delighted for you  :+1:

It’s not sorted I’ve still not found anyone who can help.

Is the biggest need for someone to come to Oldham to help you put it back together? I.e., you need time and manpower at the car’s location and there’s currently no way to move it somewhere to complete the work?

Just checking before I share this into a Facebook group of enthusiasts.

Sorry about that…getting message that your problem had been solved flashing up my end

What a nightmare you are dealing with and all I can do is afford you empathy as this was me and Bullit several years ago…but we made it through the trauma

Brainstorming…R U sure your current garage won’t extend …don’t answer that on a public forum

Just don’t give up…you may have to go out of your comfort zones to solve the problem

Hi Mikey that’s exactly the help I need and I’m not expecting it for free happy to pay, provide lunch and I’m brilliant at passing tools.

Thanks for your help in advance.

Unfortunately I would be no use in putting your car back together because I don’t have the skills. I’ve shared this thread into a large Facebook group (Shropshire MX5) and hopefully someone can either help or knows someone that could. Not all members are Shropshire based and even those who are might be willing to travel :crossed_fingers:

Unfortunately the back end needs putting back on with a subframe swap. Worth knowing the guys details though if you have them thank you.

Thank you.
