The Scheduled Maintenance on my 1.5 SEL ND1 gives an interval for Manual Transmission oil change but leaves the columns blank for the differential oil. Am I right to think that the diff oil does not need to be routinely changed?
The service schedule says change if the diff has been immersed. Personally I’d change it periodically, it doesn’t take a lot and isn’t difficult to do.

It is considered good practice to change the diff oil on a regular basis. I do it every 3 years on our car which is low milage and not thrashed to within an inch of it’s life.
