I’m looking for technical help or recommendations on: __paint codes
I have some rust points on the underside of the boot lid that have been rubbed down and ready for re-paint.
Now the car is red and according to various web sites, the paint code is situated either under the bonnet or on the plate on the drivers door shut.
Only the chassis number can be found under the bonnet,the information on the shut plate is as follows;- e112001/1160202

I presumed the paint code was the e11but this doesn’t match any of the different types of red I have seen on various web sites that produce automotive paints.
Does anyone know what shade of red is applicable to my car.
if you are trying to match something large like a panel especially if its old paint it wont match unless you match the colour at a specialist shop. if its touch-up paint you need then yea fine.
Well unless you have a Launch Edition or a Sport Graphic, you won’t if your car is a 2008 you can discount the first two reds. So if it’s not the true red show in the pic it’ll be copper red 32V.
Been wondering what colour my car is without actually putting any effort into checking, thanks for confirming it for me, although it will still be Maroon to me …
