Hi,

I bought a Westfield type kit car which has a MX5 diff installed. I am unsure of the exact model and I need to order CV boots for mot. Any help in identifying this is greatly appreciated.

You can’t tell from that photo (except its come off a Mk1/2), the differences (1.6 v 1.8) are in the nose, and to identify a open 1.8 diff versus LSD (Torsen) diff needs some dissembly

Thank you very much saz9961. It seems to be a 1.8 Torsen going by the pictures and it is a LSD differential based on the driving experience… :joy:

What would the maximin BHP and Torque that these diffs can withstand?
