Digital service history check

Hi all.
Can we go online to check and print off the service history for our cars or is it a visit to the dealers ?

If it is a dealer visit do we get charged for it ?

Car is a 2008.

Cheers :+1::+1:

Easiest thing I’ve found personally, is to download the Mazda app. You should find your service record on there- Mazda records are all digitised. You can also book services & MOTs with your local Mazda dealer through it too and it’ll remind you when your next service is due. Hope this has been of some help, at least :blush:

No probs, mate. Ignore the bad reviews on there- I’ve never had any issues with it. Some folk‘ll go looking for any reason to whinge!

Tried 3 times last night and twice today mate it won’t register,
Kept saying it sent me verification codes but they never arrived.

Never mind. Cheers anyway :+1::+1::+1:

Have you checked junk/spam? For some reason many code type mails end up in there on my accounts…

I got past the Email part but only once. I was then asked for my phone number so put that in, It then kept saying it had sent a code to my phone. It hadn’t and I couldn’t move any further forward.

I don’t have a problem with going digital it’s the modern way. But Mazda should also go the modern way and produce something owners can actually access and use.

Most people it seems by reading the app reviews can’t work it either.

Mazda Worcester are just hopeless so unhelpful so I will knock a lump of cash off my car as I can’t prove service history. Buyers want history :+1::+1:

Phone Mazda UK customer services rather than a dealer.

Your dealer can check the Digital Service Record (DSR) easily and also check if it is in your name. If it isn’t that may be the reason you don’t get the codes - they are going to the old owner! Dealers are supposed to update them but don’t always and when sold privately don’t get done at all.

Thanks. I won’t even step into the premises of our local dealer. Honestly they are so lazy rude and clearly don’t want to help. :+1::+1:

The system did send one code via Email but failed to send to the phone number it asked me for.

At no point had it asked for the VIN number or the registration number so it couldn’t have sent anything to the previous owner :+1:

Thanks I will :+1::+1::+1::+1:

I tried again !!! This time I got through to the account nearly being created…

It then asked me to Skan the VIN…■■■ ??? Do Mazda think we’re all computer geniuses? I have absolutely zero idea how to skan anything never mind a VIN number.

Why on earth don’t they allow us to enter the number manually ?

No wonder the app is so hated…

Scanning the VIN will start your camera, you point it to the V5 where it shows the VIN, it’ll recognize the line of the VIN and show a red highlight on it, keep the phone steady, may take 10-20 seconds, but it’ll read the VIN. If it makes any mistakes, you can correct it on the next page (changed an A to a 4 for me).

Thanks.

My point though is how are we supposed to know ?

As I said above it’s ok going digital but only if we can figure it out. The reviews on the app suggest most of us can’t .

Purchased my Mazda just over a week ago and although the dealer explained the digital service record and gave me a print out did not mention the app. My car was registered in 2008 but the app still works and it is good to see the service record digitally. Thanks for the info.

ive been trying for a month to register my car on the app but never get past the first screen after uploading the photos (android if it matters)

All very strange. Mine got working straight away :face_with_raised_eyebrow: And I’m definitely not a technical whizz kid, either

Unlike normal, include the 0 at the start of your phone number, that should sort it :slight_smile:
