Dinitrol or Lanoguard

I am thinking of taking my car to have the underside cleaned and resealed. The option is Dinitrol or Lanoguard, what would owners recommend.

Dinitrol.

I personally would go Dinitrol ,(Bilt Hamber is also very good), from everything I have seen/read, although Lanoguard seems to do the job, it is suggested that a yearly top up is required. Around 10 years ago I did a rolling restoration on an old Porsche and I used a full kit of Dinitrol underneath on that, inside chassis legs, inner sills/outer sills etc. Messy but effective. I have since used BH on a TVR chassis and 24 year old e39 BMW touring and 27 year old Alpina. Their UB range can be had in an almost clear formula so ideal for areas you can see such as wheel arches etc, I used the darker stuff for cavities and so on. On the pic, you can see the ‘clear’ stuff just after applying.

Bilt Hamber has come top in independent test, just do a Google search compared against Dinitrol. The results speak for themselves.
It is the preferred choice for many classic restorers etc.

Someone had mine done everywhere (even the engine bay ???) with Dinitrol a few years ago for £750 before I bought it. It’s still annoyingly waxy and impossible to clean off skin! It definitely works, but I’d say you need to take parts off the underside to do it properly. I won’t consider doing anything like this unless I have both subframes removed, after seeing everywhere they missed, and the gearbox/diff overspray.

Maybe cavity wax is a better “quick fix?”

I use Dinitrol products, but don’t forget the many box sections that need to be treated.
