- My model of MX-5 is: 96 Eunos Roadster
- I’m based near: Durham
- I’m looking for technical help or recommendations on: disconnecting the harness connector for the front indicators. I have purchased a set of plug n play turn signals but cannot for the life of me remove the harness connector that holds the old signals. Any help?
Yep, they are TIGHT. On mine, I pressed the tab and inserted a thin flat blade screwdriver between the plug and socket and GENTLY levered. I changed sides often. A dab of WD40 may help.
Had the same issue with the headlight plug/socket, expect 30 years of not being apart was the main issue.
Thank you for the speedy reply, currently giving my thumbs a rest from pushing n pulling, will resume shortly with your strategy!
Press in the tab and a flat bladed screwdriver on that top part to ease it out.
I had similar yesterday on my washer pump connection on the Mk3.
Remove it from the body to give more space and grip , press the tab ,wiggle waggle, up ,down side to side ,it will come out.
