Hi,
My NB has failed its MOT on rotten sills (unusual I know!) and I need to transport it from Sutton In Ashfield, Notts to S.P.A. Servicing & Repair in Ilkeston so they can have a look over it and let me know what’s what. While I know strictly speaking if you are taking a car for MOT work you can drive it I would rather trailer it there. Does anyone have a car transporter trailer that I could borrow/hire? I am an experienced tower with a Ford Ranger so it would be in safe hands.
Also, has anyone used SPA before for their MX5? All the reviews look good but I haven’t used them previously myself.

Hi Matt, it might be worth giving them a call.
When I had work done on mine they picked it up on a flat bed.
It was a couple of years ago so things have moved on since then.
I found them to be enthusiastic, helpful and sensibly priced at the time.

I have spoken to them and they didn’t offer this service when I was discussing the challenges of getting it to them so I guess they are not doing this any more.

Spa have my vote. They’re pretty damn good on welding. They also do paint as well.
