Being a dog owner, this does actually work and can be used anywhere and smells nice too.
Specifically for all pet odours really, (as stated on the tin). 
Something I heard recently regarding a caravan that stunk of cigarettes. The new owner put glasses of vinegar in there and kept it shut for a week. Apparently on reopening it the place stunk of vinegar, but with the doors and windows open for a few hours the smell of vinegar disappeared and took the smell of cigarettes with it.
There may be easier ways though!

Wasn’t aware that dogs could drive
Job done, gave the seats and carpets a good wet clean and used a AC bomb, also cleaned the glass with white vinegar came up a treat.
