“Don’t Let it Snow Run” aka “The Magic Roundabout Run” Sunday 23 March 2014
Steve & Phillippa are organising this late winter come early spring run and although hoping for favourable weather it may not come to pass, hence the run name “Don’t Let it Snow”
Details for this event are as follows:
1. Meeting at 10:00 for a 10:30 am set off.
2. Venue: Map Link: Three Lakes Retail Park Post Code: YO8 8LY
3. Format of the Day: Meet and greet in the MacDonald’s car park for the provision of radios and Tulip Maps. The run will take us across to the East Riding on roads suitable for the anticipated weather conditions for this time of year. So, no narrow twisty roads but plenty of long straights and Magic Roundabouts. Although the route is specially chosen for poorer weather conditions you will still need to take care! We travel initially to the Wolds where a coffee, cake & comfort stop will be taken at the Wolds Village, Manor Farm, Bainton, Driffield YO25 9EF www.woldsvillage.co.uk From here we head out through some very nice countryside (probably covered in snow) on straight roads and roundabouts. Please remember to slow down and extend a courtesy to other road users, who may not be as capable as MX-5 drivers. The lunch stop is at The Crown in Hutton le Hole YO62 6UA (providing we can access the village). Jake, the licensee will accommodate our group in the function room, we may overflow into the main bar dependant on numbers attending. The final leg will be a short run to Starbucks at Monks Cross, York YO32 9GX for a drink and goodbyes.
4. Food Orders: the menu will be published to our Yahoo Group and food will be pre-order to Steve by the evening of Wednesday 19th March 2014.
