Door dents from a Neighbour :(

Hi all,

I park my car in a gated flat where we each get an allocated parking space. Now one of my neighbours has been using my MX-5 as a door stop for their own car doors.

This has basically left the rear right wing in a complete mess. I think it’s way beyond a dent repair man fixing this! A couple of small door dings I may have accepted as accidental but these are deep and it just seems to me that they really don’t care. I can tell it’s their car as well from the red marks (my car is red) on the edges of their car doors.

Only this weekend did I see the full extent of the damage when I went to drive the car. I don’t get to use it much as I commute by train into London during the week. To say I’m livid is an understatement!

Anyhow I’ll need this damage repaired and I’m wondering if any of you know of a decent dent/body repair shop in the Essex region? Not sure how much this is going to cost but I’m guessing a fair bit!

cheers

Colin

get your neighbour to pay, they might be more carefull in the future.

Two things you can’t choose unfortunately, your family and your neighbours. I agree with approaching your neighbours about the damage, at least it may make them more careful.

Hi zeepster.  You don’t say where you are in Essex, but several North Thames members have been using Scott in Little Totham. He’s great value for money and does an excellent job.  See post here…http://www.mx5oc.co.uk/forum/forums/t/36244.aspx

If you want more details send me a PM and I’ll get them for you.

As said before by others confront your neighbour.

As for dent techies they are great, 2 weeks after I bought my B10 some **** decided to put a large size

boot into the OSR door on the swage line. Visited a dent techie that only does work on high end cars and

1 1/2 hrs later you could see no dent. Luck would have it for me the paint was not cracked.

Do you know anyone who keeps pigs? A taser, large polythene bag and some gaffer tape to incapacitate then pop around to visit the pig-farmer…sorted!

The first thing you should do is, I agree is to speak to your neighbour to ask if they will pay for the damage.

If not and if you feel it is justified, contact the Police and report the damage (you will need your neighbours vehicle registration) then contact your insurance company.

OK Taff, this one has made me think!  Do you taser the neighbour and dump them in the pigsty, or taser the pig and dump it at the neighbour’s?Confused

Whatever you like Pierre…as long as he gets the message, I wanted to find you a link to Bricktop Pigs that wasnt offensive on youtube but failed, type it in yourselfWink
