We still have two spaces available on this if anyone wants to take up this golden opportunity

Hi Nick, I just wanted to say many thanks again for yesterday. It was the most fun I’ve had with my trousers on for some time!!

Having never been to a track day before, I wasn’t sure what to expect. I imagined it might get too competitive and possibly out of hand, intimidating a novice like me. On the day though I was pleasantly surprised at how safe the track (Bedford Autodrome) and the rest of the drivers were. Well done to all involved in the pre-briefing, marshalling and driving on the day! You’ve turned me from a sceptic, to a participant and an enthusiast in one day! I’ll be back!

For anyone else reading this : I spent an hour, in three 20 minute sessions in the race car and loved every minute, INCLUDING the moment a black VW Caddy van appeared in front of us from the pit lane while Nick was giving me a few ‘hot laps’ at the end. Whilst you’re not meant to ‘race’ on a track day, and passing is only allowed on the inside with the consent of the person being overtaken, I got the distinct impression that Nick didn’t want to be seen behind this van for long, though it was surprisingly fast! A great day out.

Peter.

Peter you looked to be having alot of fun out there I was quite happy sitting behind you watching Nick instructed you.

I might have been side ways a few times while I  waiting for nick to wave me by.

Hi Peter, we were in front at that corner and that’s my story and I am sticking to it! Party

But it also goes to prove what Steve was saying in the morning about corner exit speed and corect line. The van, which as you say, was not slow, turned in way too early for the hairpin before the straight having to stay off the power for much longer, we exited the corner a faster speed and carried that all the way down the following straight which is why we entered the haipin 20 yards behind him and got to the end of the straight ahead.

And Ollie, we did notice your Qualcast line.

 Cadwell next everybody.
