We are up to 14 cars tomorrow now since Des and Clare posted and I had a phone call from Alan Davies. I’ve either got breakfast orders or know that none is wanted from almost everyone now. I know the weather forecast at the moment is not brilliant, but it is better than the 6" of snow we had last time this was planned!!! I really don’t want to let the restaurant down again so I hope everyone can make it. I can promise great company, scintillating conversation and good food and drink at least!!!

5.15pm , and the sun is shining in Ashby - only 7 hours late!!! Thank you to everyone, you all braved the weather and came along anyway - very pleased that everyone found their british resilience and turned up as planned! Judging by the buzz during breakfast and lunch the good company and conversation I promised was well in evidence and food was good too!!
Thank you guys - Paul and I really enjoyed seeing you all. I am now going to put my feet up with the newspapers. Paul? yes, you’ve guessed it, he’s outside washing the car!!

Just want to add our thanks to Paul and Karen.
Despite the sleet on the drive to the Meeting point we really enjoyed the day. The drive home was done in mostly sunshine but we kept the roof up as it was very dark in places. Car is back in service as a daily driver so not washed yesterday.

So sorry not to have been there,but duty called…again! Oh well, still waxed and sat in the garage waiting for that open topped run with everyone else,(the Mazda that is)…maybe the next one?
