36mile scenic drive to Wellow on the edge of the Dukeries
Jim Davies and Cath are organising and leading this drive.
We are going to Wellow a tiny village near to Ollerton. For Sunday lunch at The Old Red Lion at Wellow. (NG22 0EG)(Telephone 01623 861000)
Stopping on the way at Patching Farm, Arts and Craft Centre,(NG14 6NW) where you can have a look around a dozen or so small units, there is also a cafe should you wish to partake in coffee and cake, whilst you are there. (30 minute stop)
We will then move onto a scenic drive to The Old Red Lion for Lunch, which is booked for 1 o’clock.
There will be a choice of three meats Beef, Pork, or Lamb if you could indicate which you would like this wood help the chief.
Price’s £7.20 for one course
£9.20 for two courses’
£11.20 for three courses’,
We have provisionally book 20 covers for lunch, this will be on a first come first serve basis if we have more, then I will try to book further covers, but I cannot guarantee that they will have space.
Can you please confirm your attendance as soon as possible please, the cut off point for lunch bookings will be the week before i.e. Sunday 24th February 2013.
After lunch you are free to do your own thing, there are many attractions in the area including, Rufford Park, Thoresby Hall, Clumber Park , Robin Hood Visitors Centre are all close by.
The drive will start from our house, 9 John Street Somercotes DE55 1RD (Mobile 07932621141 should you need directions.) at 10.45 promt.
The kettle will be on from 10.15 should you like to have a drink and toilet stop before we start the drive.
