I’ve had new discs and pads all round and I’ve had a knock when going over pot holes etc from the front drivers side wheel that wasn’t there before. I’ve had a look and a poke and I can rock the caliper where as the other 3 are solid i.e no movement. Can anyone advise what the issue might be? Is it worn slider pins?
Unlikely that will solve your problem. Replacement slider pins are cheap and can be fitted without dismantling the caliper or mount. Just make sure you fit them correctly and lubricate them with the correct grease, Not Copperslip! Probably worth replacing or at least lubricating all the others while you are doing 1.
Seized? That may have been the cause of your problems but hopefully not the caliper brackets because if they are worn due to corrosion and seizure you could be looking at replacement brackets. Try new pins first and see if that works, if not then could be worn or oversize bores in the bracket.
As others have said, don’t use Copperslip.
(If fitting new slider pins the kit should supply the grease anyway).
Use the specific silicone slider pin grease, or
Use “Red Rubber Grease” for the slider pins.
As in Castrol.
A small tin on eBay as an example.
