Hi all,
I have a mk2.5 (2005) 1.8 Arctic model. Unfortunately it has a bent driveshaft after the rear wheel had a rather awkward meeting with a kerb. Before I buy a replacement, I have a couple of qs:
1. The existing driveshaft is a push-fit type with no flanges but does have an ABS ring. Is there anything else I need to look out for when buying a replacement? I.e will a driveshaft from a 1.6L mk2 still fit my car??
(Unfortunately I have no idea what type of differential I have)
2. It is likely that I’ll buy the driveshaft and hub as one item to save faffing around with undoing the hub nut. Again, is there anything I should look out for to ensure that the replacement hub is compatible with my car.
Any info much appreciated.
Cheers!
