Driveshafts - Differences Between Models

Hi all,

I have a mk2.5 (2005) 1.8 Arctic model.  Unfortunately it has a bent driveshaft after the rear wheel had a rather awkward meeting with a kerb.Cry  Before I buy a replacement, I have a couple of qs:

1.  The existing driveshaft is a push-fit type with no flanges but does have an ABS ring.  Is there anything else I need to look out for when buying a replacement?  I.e will a driveshaft from a 1.6L mk2 still fit my car??

(Unfortunately I have no idea what type of differential I have)

2.  It is likely that I’ll buy the driveshaft and hub as one item to save faffing around with undoing the hub nut.  Again, is there anything I should look out for to ensure that the replacement hub is compatible with my car.

Any info much appreciated.

Cheers!

We have the shaft and hub you need with ABS ring .Its near impossible to separate shaft from hub especially on 1.8 ( 1.6 seem easier for same strange reason).Type of diff is irrelevant .1.6 early mk1 shafts will not fit.PM me if interested and which side please?
