Hello everybody,

Thank you for adding me to this great looking forum, I already read tons of great info.

My name is Ger, I am from The Netherlands, 52 years old, and enjoying the heck out of my Mid-life crisis .

A couple of month ago I purchased the best buy I have ever made.
My White 2011, 20th Anniversary MX5 #989.

What a great ride, and it brings a smile on my face everytime when driving, and looking at it.

Modifications I have made until now :

  • Put in Jass lowering brackets
  • the Cobalt door bushings
  • Cobalt exhaust
  • and some minor things like the stubby antenna, LED in trunk etc.

Modifications on my wish/todo list

  • new ARB’s ( Whiteline)
  • New coilovers ( Meister R ZETA CRD)
  • New front strutbrace ( not sure , maybe the Cobalt or the autoexec)
    -and the list goes on and on and on……. :slight_smile:

For now this will also be the order I have planned to make the modifications.

Welcome Ger, hopefully like me after I fitted the Meister coilovers you’ll be more than happy with the improvement you’ll cancel doing anything else to the handling

Hello Ger, beautiful looking MX-5 you have there.

I started my mid-life crisis at about 42, I am 57 now.

There seems to be no sign of it ending yet either.

I haven’t got my boat yet :rofl::rofl:

Nice car! Spotted on your photo post that you work at a brewery in the Netherlands, out of curiosity which one?

I was enjoying a subscription to Moersleutel until recent changes in trade arrangements made it quite difficult to continue :pensive:

Hi Ian,

The brewery I work for is Brand Bierbrouwerij

It is the oldest brewery in the Netherlands. We have now specialized in Craft beers, and have made some beers for festivals like Paaspop, Pinkpop, Concert @ Sea.

My girlfriend Belinda also works at a brewery. This is Gulpener Bierbrouwerij

It is sad that due to “the topic who must not be named” it is almost impossible to get things over the border.

The brewery Hertog Jan also has a subscribtion and have nice good beers.

If you are a beer drinker do you use the app “Untapped” ?

Yes I know Untappd, often useful for seeing tap lists in bars and average ratings for different beers.

Looks great had a couple of Lentebocks , yes I also use untappd Kevin Ridings on Untappd
