Recently swopped my old number plates to a newer car informed DVLA, according to them now I have no MOT, most recent MOT (passed) on previous reg was April '23. With my new reg according to DVLA the car has’nt had an MOT since its first registration in 2017.
Do you still have the e-mail telling you that you can now put your private plate on the car ?
If yes - then send them a copy of that e-mail and ask them to correct their records
Confirmation for plate change received from DVLA, just went on DVLA site to check tax and hey presto it says that I am both taxed and MOT’ed, so I printed it off to put into my file and also a screen shot just in case I am stopped!
I must admit I had a flutter moment when I changed to my personal number plate, it seems it takes a little while for the system to catch up.
