A friend of mine is thinking of buying this car but never having had a “5” is concerned because the steering is quite stiff and seems to “stick” in a certain position. Any ideas/advice please?
ADDED TEXT: By “stick” means it gets to one position where you need “push” the steering wheel through a point of resistance.
Check tyre pressure, tyre wear, tyre size are all in accordance with specification.
The MOT history is all green for what that’s worth, at least not showing a history of neglect.
No idea what sticking steering is…
Alignment issue possibly?
Years ago, I had a clutch changed in a fwd car - the garage had to drop the front crossmember in order to complete it and it knocked the alignment out so much the the steering no longer self centred - one 4 wheel alignment later and all was good again.
