Earliest UK spec MX5? 14/3/1990?

Hi all

I recently purchased a MK1 UK spec MX5 1.6i in classic red. (Great condition) and completely standard. Having looking at dates on the owners club website it suggests that the first UK cars were registered on 14/3/1990.

To my surprise when I checked my logbook - mine was registered on that very day with the chassis number falling amongst those first cars.

Anyone else with a very very early UK car?

Also does anybody have any more info on the history or has anyone here ever owned it - G585 EPL

The first UK MX5s GxxxRKM, were registered on 1st February, 1990 and were used in promotional shots and marketing/car tests.
