Anyone on here recommend somewhere that’ll test and possibly fix an ECU on an NB?
Had an auto spark spend 4 hours on my car yesterday and traced a possible fault on the board.
Thanks

There are plenty of people on Google who advertise that they can do that.
As manufacturer’s including Mazda do not disclose the details of their ecu’s the testing will be a bit hit and miss and to be honest, I wonder about the results of the test and that of any possible repair.
The problem with the NB as you are aware, you have to replace the ecu with one with the same number and with it’s own matching immobiliser together with getting keys recut to suit your key pattern but with the number off the transponder electronics from the donor keys.
So you are between a rock and a hard place, I’m afraid.
Out of interest what is the problem you are having that suggests an ecu fault.
We have full selection of used ECU,s with matching immobiliser units and key ,as full matched set. These are fully tested and ready to go.Just plug and play ,no coding etc required.PM if interested with number off your existing ECU please,Thanks.Robert
If you have water damage to your ECU, I would not go the repair route.
If no water damage and there is a faulty component that can be tested for and repaired with a guarantee, a repair could be worth it.
Most ECU faults are water damage.
Water damage is visually obvious.
