Eibach Lowering suspension kit. Any North East Mazda dealer recommendations.

Im thinking of having the Eibach Lowering suspension kit put on my new Mk 3.5 RC ST.  I really want to keep it within the warranty guidelines, so that would mean the job being done by a Mazda dealer. The problem is, I have read so many Horror stories on the forum about twisted bushes and botched jobs when owners have put their 5s in for this done at Mazda dealerships. Can any one recommend a local main dealer that has done this job correctly, as well as giving a correct wheel alignment in with the work ? Failing that, is their any recommendations for independants that could do the job  correctly.  I have read a lot of good reports about WIM but they are a long drive from here.

Thanks.

Paul.

Anyone ? Or, are all of our local main dealers that bad, lol. Sad

Sorry Paul never had the work carried out, understand your need for it to be a dealer, The mazda dealership at Hexham has some good reveiws but can’t comment on lowering the suspension. Their telephone number is 01434 607091 if you want to talk to them, service manager is a young lad called Craig Telfer, sorry I can’t be more help to you.

My car is beyond warrenty so I’d probably go to AK Automotive at Rowlands Gill for this sort of work, they aren’t a Mazda dealership but they are specifically MX5 specialists not just that but they have the latest Hunter wheel alignment equipment to set it up after it’s been lowered, think they actually race a couple of MX5s as well, so they are well into them.

Hi Paul, I had mine done by Petch at Durham when I bought the car. It wasn’t the Eibach kit just the lowered Mazda springs as fitted to their own and US models, but I am pleased with the result.

hi paul had my new 2.0 kendo lowered with ebach springs before taking delivery in sept 2011,it was carried out by hodgson at the metro center £299 fitted. had a free alignment cheak at revelution motor store dunston,no problems found, very happy with the way it drives and handles . cheers terry m.

Thanks guys for the feed back on this. Not really sure what to do and I will have to give it some thought. Hodgsons are close to me but I do like the idea of being able to get the state of the art wheel alignment done such as with AK automotive. Might just wait until my warrenty is up then try an idependent.

Cheers.

Paul.
