Eibach springs - which goes where?

  1. My model of MX-5 is: __NC
  2. I’m based near: __SW London
  3. I’m looking for technical help or recommendations on: __identifying front/rear Eibach springs

I have bought some -30mm springs but they have come with no instructions. What I need to kmow is which is which?
Ome pair have a number on them ending in VA and also I/M on another coil. The other pair have the number ending in HA and J/M on another coil.
Can anyone tell me which is front and which is rear?

As a general rule, the ones with thicker diameter wire go on the front.

VA is front, HA is the rear. Letters are short for something in German.

I struggled with this one too with the Eibach springs I bought from MX-5 Parts. A quick call to them and they told me the springs were stamped with F and R. Sure enough they were.
Has yours got markings on them.
Mine are not fitted to the car now so can take a picture of mine for you… they are in my loft :roll_eyes:

VA Front axle, HA Rear axle.

Vor for forwards (as in vorsprung from a certain company’s adverts), Hinter or Hintern for rear
